Our Story

Hazelwood is both a place and a dream – of a simpler, slower way of life.

The dream of a life in the country, where there’s time to watch the sun rise and set, where we eat food cooked from scratch using ingredients we’ve grown in our own garden, where we share meals and create memories with dear friends and family.

Today, most of us live busy lives in big cities, and our reality can sometimes feel a long way from what’s “real”. Hazelwood is about nurturing that desire to feel something real, to connect and to create.

About Hazelwood Estate

Hazelwood Estate is a polo and wagyu farm just outside the small township of Beechmont, on the way to Binna Burra in the Scenic Rim hinterland. It’s a short drive from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, and neighbours World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park.

Stay at Hazelwood Estate, experience our Wagyu Cellar Door, watch a polo game, or take part in the regular workshops to be hosted at the estate. We welcome event, retreat and location enquiries here. Opening 2021.
