The Paddock restaurant delivers unpretentious, wholesome fare that celebrates the quality of the local produce. A casual take on fine dining, the restaurant serves up seasonal creations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our new Executive Chef Simon Furley has created an à la carte menu which showcases the region’s finest ingredients, sourcing sustainable produce from the Scenic Rim and the surrounding region of South East Queensland.
The design of the restaurant with its floor-to-ceiling windows and soaring ceiling maximizes the views of the rolling green hills. Designed around the idea of a club house, the restaurant features a large fireplace to enjoy a wine in front of at the end of the day and a communal table for sharing a meal.
Please note, bookings are essential as guests will require an access code for the front gates.
Lunch – 12noon until 3.30pm, Thursday to Sunday
Dinner – 5.30pm until 8pm, Wednesday to Sunday
Meet our Executive Chef
We are excited to introduce our new Executive Chef Simon Furley.
Simon was the former head chef at the hatted Homage restaurant, Spicers Hidden Vale, and is one of Queensland’s brightest young chefs.
With a resume boasting experience as a private chef for high-net-worth clients all over Europe, and the swag of awards he and the culinary team received at Homage restaurant, the UK-born chef could find work at any of Australia’s top restaurants. However, Simon jumped at the opportunity to run his own restaurant on a privately- owned property where he could realise his own vision.
The development and implementation of sustainable and environmental practices is an ongoing dedication for Simon. The chef uses creative methods to reduce food waste like smoking, curing and fermentation so no produce is discarded and is introduced back into dishes in different interpretations. Simon also makes his own pottery by upcycling items like oyster shells and bone to create beautiful bespoke vessels and crockery.
Breakfast at The Paddock restaurant is exclusively for our in-house guests and includes a rustic Farmer’s Platter assortment featuring lardo eggs, halloumi, bacon, grilled farm fresh vegetables, local yoghurt, croissants, assorted preserves and sourdough bread and more.

Hazelwood Cocktail Bar & Sunset Terrace
Our casually elegant Cocktail Bar and Sunset Terrace create an intimate ambience – think an open fireplace and a welcoming timber terrace. Enjoy views across the valley as you sip a full bodied red or craft beer.
Sample signature cocktails using seasonal ingredients that evolve with the surroundings. Enjoy curated craft beer or wine tasting sessions in our Hazelwood Bar or spend the afternoon sunning yourself on the terrace or while the evenings away by a crackling fireplace.
